The only negative was that the steak, although flavorful, was quite tough. I realize that sirloins are of a firmer texture than rib-eyes, but the operative word is "firm," not tough.

I was there a while back. The food is ok and nothing to write home about. However the service was very VERY poor. Server acted like he was doing me favor and asked him a question and you can see him rolling his eyes. Manager needs to keep a close eye on the staff.

I know it's a chain restuarant but the food here is excellent. The best place for steak in saint Augustine. To be fair, the service is average at best, but the food makes up for the high turnover wait staff. I recently enjoyed a Flo's Filet at this location that was tremendous. The steak was full of flavor and I could actually cut it with my fork. The portions are generous and I have not been disappointed after eating here many times. I will definitely return.

Noon, lunch hour and we were seated right away! That doesn't happen very often, anywhere! But it did! And it was awesome. I had a salad with grilled chicken, hubby had a burger and salad and my son had an 11 ounce steak! (Growing teenaged boy and all, it was gone in minutes!). Everything was perfect and the service was excellent too. No problems what so ever. I'm usually not into chain places but this one I do like.

I went here with my parents for Dinner and I wasn't impressed. It was about a 20 minute wait for a table of 3. My parents wanted a drink and we decided to wait in the Bar for our table. it took a while for one of the bartenders to come over and take my parents drink order and while we at the bar a couple of patrons had got up and left and no one had cleaned up their dishes so there were dirty dishes strewn about the Bar area. We were finally called that our table and the hostess brought us over and she was very nice which was the highlight of evening. I ordered a Ribeye and my parents ordered Lamb Chops and Shrimp. We saw our server 3 times during the hour we were there. once to take our drink order once to bring us bread and take our food order and then once to drop off the food. This is where the problem came. My steak and side were cold. after about 5 minutes she finally stopped ignoring my attempts to get her to return to the table and took my meal back. The manager came over and when he saw no plate in front of me and I explained what happened he went into the kitchen to check and returned later with the same food and luckily for me this time my food was luke warm. at this point I just wanted to eat my meal and forget that I decided to eat at Longhorn. We didn't see our waitress again til it was time for the greed corporate upsell of coffee and desert which needless to say we were not interested in. So when the check came big surprise nothing had been taken off the bill not even a free beverage. Corporate Profits Maximized. Obviously We were not impressed with the Service nor Managements efforts. The Kitchen Staff prepared the food right and if I had to venture a guess I would have guessed that our food sat waiting for our server to bring it to us which was the main problem and the reason I will never return to the Saint Augustine Longhorn.

Have been a regular patron of other LongHorns... but the St. Augustine version is decidedly below par. Slow service, salads that look (and taste) like the lettuce should have been thrown out yesterday, and servers that can't make a decision for themselves without calling a manager... are but a few of the issues that have consistently been noted on the few visits I've made here. After an extremely rude discussion with a manager over a menu option that had been OK'ed in the past, I have crossed this restaurant off my list and will take my business elsewhere.

This is another one of those rarities, when you get a major national chain restaurant that puts others to shame with great service, great atmosphere, and kick-ass food. This restaurant is located in the magic 312 and US 1 intersection, which features about 37 chain restaurants. It sits pretty much by itself, with plenty of parking available. There are plenty of tables in the restaurant, however if you do come during the busiest hours, i.e. Friday or Saturday night, be prepared for a wait. Any other time you will almost go straight to your seats. When you first walk in, you are greeted by a host or hostess, and they will seat you. The restaurant is entirely non-smoking, which is great, country music is piped in, and the walls are decorated with huge steer heads, straps and stirrups, kinda hokey, but gives you a feel of the west, I guess. The service here, of course, is give or take, like any restaurant, but I've eaten here a few times and have yet to receive bad service. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and take care of you. I enjoy sitting at the bar, or outside on nice evenings, as you get even more attentive service, they serve delicious Samuel Adams draft, and you can watch sports on one of their two big screen TV's. The food is fan-f'n-tastic. They have some great appetizers, but even the usuals like buffalo chicken bites have a western kick to them. When you order your meal, it comes with great bread, a salad, and two sides- even the basics like french fries are delicious, but the loaded baked potatoes and baked sweet potatoes are amazing. I had the chicken strips for dinner one time, and they were THE BEST strips I've ever eaten. They are actually hand breaded in restaurant when you order them, and fried to a perfect golden brown. And, of course, we get to the steak. They have a lot of different selections, but my favorites are the bleu cheese topped steak, and the crab stuffed steak. EVERY steak I have ever ordered here was cooked to PERFECTION, delicious, tender, juicy, perfectly flamed and seasoned. The manager, who stopped by my table to talk and see how the food was, told me that they actually raise their own cattle and supervise everything from beginning to delicious end. I LOVE coming here, and aside from the longer waits you will experience on a Friday and Saturday night, I have nothing negative to say about this joint.

So while in transition while we move we decided to spend a few days in St. Augustine. We stopped in at LongHorn on our second night in town and the Sonoma Chicken salad did not disappoint. The other members of my illustrious group were equally satisfied with their steaks and burgers. Should I venture to St. Augustine again I will be back at LongHorn.

Man! I love me some longhorn! The steaks are cooked just to your specification...the drinks are great, and the waitresses are friendly. It is in a convenient location at the corner of US 1 and 312, with plenty of parking and happy hour. I have been there for lunch many times and never had to wait. This particular franchise lives up to its chain's standards and more. My kudos to the manager of this LongHorn, they are getting it right!
